Methodology

What “reviewed” means here.

GoodKidVids uses human moderation, current availability checks, and finite playlist rules. It does not treat popularity or an algorithmic score as approval.

Video review

A video becomes eligible only after a human reviewer records an approved decision. The runtime also checks that it is marked for children, is not a Short, and can be embedded. A rejected, unavailable, or unembeddable video is excluded.

Creator-level decisions

A creator decision can approve or block a broader roster, but the system retains video-level decisions and their provenance. Creator approval is not a promise that every future upload is appropriate. Featured creator summaries receive a separate editorial review.

Playlist construction

A request is converted into controlled topics and a duration. The database selects only eligible material, gives matching favorite creators a modest ranking boost, limits repetition by creator, balances distinct concepts when possible, and saves a finite running order. Account dislikes and creator leave-outs are enforced. Saved playlists recheck moderation whenever they load.

The ending is part of the product

The player shows a finite queue and stops after the final item. It does not continue into YouTube recommendations. If an item becomes unavailable, the player omits it rather than preserving an outdated moderation decision.

What we do not claim

Approval means the video fits GoodKidVids' current product criteria. It is not medical, developmental, educational, or legal advice. It is not a guarantee that every family will like a video. Parents and caregivers remain the best judges of their own children and context.
